I just returned from TIBCO’s yearly conference called TIBCO Now. This was my first opportunity to meet the new CEO of TIBCO, Dan Streetman. Dan’s message was clear: TIBCO’S direction, under his leadership, will be to exploit the Innovation that exists everywhere.

2019 TIBCO Now Conference
Over the course of the 2-day conference, I attended many sessions that focused on how various TIBCO customers attained huge gains when they applied digital transformation. Customers like GOYA Foods, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, and Xcaret Mexican Resorts showcased examples of how they leveraged digital technology and started collecting the right information, they experienced dramatic changes.
Other notable examples of data virtualization ncluded how the Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport Team set a record by winning the first 7 races of Formula One after building and streaming advanced analytics into their race program. This change clearly separated them from the rest of the pack.
Amazon was in attendance and shared their vision for Amazon Web Services and the upcoming Amazon Marketplace for TIBCO products.
As an elite partner, Cadeon was excited to hear about TIBCO’s deeper commitment to leverage partners in their pursuit of innovation. This is welcome news as this commitment will allow Cadeon and TIBCO to work together to add deeper value to our joint customers.
Another exciting announcement: TIBCO and Microsoft have officially announced a partnership. The main goal is to have TIBCO products certified to run in Microsoft Azure. This is a big step forward as these two companies directly compete on a few fronts, and the combination of their already established software and products will be sure to be highly successful. Cadeon looks forward to watching these two companies grow together and will be there every step of the way.
Unlike past years, the 2019 TIBCO Now conference was a regional event, as opposed to a larger, global conference. This allowed all sessions to be smaller, more focused and insightful. Attendees were able to gain hands-on experience with a number of products in a lab environment as well as hear directly from the product management teams on new enhancements and future directions. I personally spent time in sessions on Spotfire analytics, Statistica data science and EBX for master data and data cataloging.
I always enjoy this conference as it is action packed and it is the best time to meet the senior executives driving the direction of the company. Thank you TIBCO Now Chicago! It was an action packed 2 days of learning and networking.
Upcoming Events
TIBCO is also coming to Calgary on September 12th for the 3rd annual Canadian Analytics Symposium. Details on the agenda will be made available over the summer.
Next year we will gather in Las Vegas for the global show to once again learn how this digital transformation continues to evolve. It is always exciting to continue to learn new directions and customer successes in this area.
